The Digital Act to Accelerate the Digitalisation of the Healthcare System came into force in March 2024. For the first time, German social accident insurance is included in Book 5 of the German Social Code as a key stakeholder to be consulted and is now working on integrating its processes into the networked healthcare system.

The campaign “I BIKE IT“ is helping young people from year 7 onwards to recognise dangers on the road and to be safer when riding their bikes. Teachers receive helpful material which is easy to integrate into their lessons. There is also an exciting competition on social media.

A survey by the DGUV shows that over half of teachers are noticing increased psychological and physical violence among pupils since the pandemic. In light of this, Dr Stefan Hussy, Director General of the DGUV, is calling for investment in sustainable measures to prevent violence.
