Declaration on Accessibility

for the web application MaSeM

The Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions (IFA) is committed to making its software programmes accessible in accordance with the provisions set out in the German Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), implementing the EU Directive 2016/2102.

This Declaration on Accessibility (as of 29.08.2023) applies to the version of the MaSeM web application currently available on this website.

Compliance status

The accessibility requirements stem from Section 3 (1) to (4) and Section 4 of BITV 2.0, adopted on the basis of Section 12d of the BGG.

The verification of compliance with these requirements is based on a self-assessment conducted on 16.05.2023.

Based on this assessment, the web application is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements.

Which elements are not accessible?

  • At present, MaSeM cannot be operated without a mouse.
  • MaSeM does not include any audio or video material.
  • People with visual impairments can use the Windows Magnifier to enlarge the display.
  • MaSeM is expert software from the IFA. Its use therefore requires experience with machines, if possible. The software has been designed for a small circle of users with the relevant knowledge and does not make provision for people with cognitive impairments.
  • MaSeM and its content are not available in plain language.
  • MaSeM and its content are not available in German Sign Language.
