Development of an automatically operating radon exposimeter "au.raex" for occupational radiation protection dosimetry related to Radon

Project No. FF-FP 0476

Status:

ongoing

Aims:

The aim of the project is to develop a prototype close to serial standard, whose suitability will be validated by internal laboratory test phases, participation in comparative and suitability tests and by test phases with probands under realistic or real working conditions. The outcome will be 20 prototypes, a technical data sheet and a statistical evaluation of the testing phases.

Activities/Methods:

In work package 1, requirements for the entire system are defined together with the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). For work package 2, the prototype is developed in a number of different work stages in cooperation with the Institute for Product Development at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The testing phase in work package 3 is divided into laboratory tests and tests with test persons.
