for the GESTIS-Dust-Ex-Database

The Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) makes every effort to ensure that its website is accessible in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Disability Discrimination and General Equal Treatment Act (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

This accessibility declaration (last amended: 2 June 2021) applies to the version of the GESTIS-Dust-Ex-Database available on the Internet (https://staubex.ifa.dguv.de/explosuche.aspx?lang=e).

Compliance status

The accessibility requirements arise from Sections 3 (1) to (4) and 4 of the BITV 2.0, which was adopted pursuant to Section 12d of the BGG.

Review of compliance with the requirements is based on an internal assessment conducted on 2 June 2021.

Owing to the amendments and testing currently in progress, the web application doesn’t comply with the requirements referred to above.

The web application ‘GESTIS-Dust-Ex-Database’ is currently being revised to bring it into line with the requirements. Upon completion of these amendments, a WCAG test will be performed and the results of the test will be published here.

We are currently working on the processes required for continual improvement of the information provided by the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) with respect to digital accessibility.

What parts are not accessible?

  • Accessible forms (e.g., application and registration): Currently, we are not yet able to provide forms in a fully accessible form. Currently, various texts are being reworked as fillable and accessible forms. We will make every effort to provide you with an accessible version. Please contact us by phone or e-mail if you require an accessible version.
  • The operation of the web application is not /not fully accessible: It is not yet fully device-independent possible - the application cannot be operated exclusively with the keyboard. Not all interactive elements are focusable and labeled.
  • The accessibility statement is not yet available in English easy language.
  • The accessibility statement is not yet available in English sign language.
