The extension of inclusions in schools in Germany is a demonstrable challenge and can lead to different strains. The responsibility rests here with the school management such that the school management needs to initiate and organise the relevant school development processes by also taking into account health factors. The projects analyses school development processes for the implementation of school-related inclusion from the headmasters’ perspective. The overriding purpose of the research project is to show practical-orientated options which allow the organisation of the implementation of the inclusion in schools taking into account health aspects by the headmasters together with all participants and support of the same. The findings will then be put together and used as a guideline and as recommendations for the purposes of qualifying headmasters.
The research design contemplates a combination of different data collection methods. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods is foreseen for the purposes of collecting diversified and depth knowledge about "Facilitation of Health and Prevention in inclusive Educational Reforms – Meaning for the Administrative Management of Headmasters". As a first step, a written standardized survey will be made 6 to 8 federal states with headmasters as the addressees. Such survey will be quantitative orientated and serve, as a second step, as a basis and reference point for a depth and qualitative orientated case study at schools. For the purposes of the case studies, guided interviews and discussion in groups will be made.
