Evaluation of the DGUV training platform "Safe handling of nanomaterials" and of the training measures

This research project is the direct successor of the DGUV Research Funding project FP0356. The contents and tools developed in the course of FP0356 will be evaluated and transferred into qualification measures for practical use. The project consists of four main work packages:

  1. Analysis of the need and requirements for practical qualification measures for health and safety specialists
  2. Development of qualification measures and performance of corresponding events
  3. Comprehensive evaluation of the contents of the nano-platform (websites and "Nanoramas")
  4. Development of an action plan for the training and qualification of health and safety experts in the long-term


As a first step, a demand analysis on the need and requirements for training measures and events is performed. To this end, stakeholder interviews and surveys are conducted. The results of the demand analysis find their way into the development of training measures, which are performed and continuously improved in the course of the project. To evaluate the nano-platform, a detailed concept will be developed, including the methods (such as interview, web analysis and surveys) and the approaches to be used for the evaluation. The evaluation of the platform will take 12 months in total. The outcomes of the evaluation will be integrated into the improvement of the nano-platform. In the last part of the project, an evaluation of the entirety of available training events and measures with regard to the requirements will be performed. Measures for the long-term implementation and improvement of the collaboration with training institutes will be derived.
