Comments on the combination of PPE against drowning with PPE against falls from a height

A combination of PPE against drowning and PPE against falls from a height constitutes a Category III item of PPE. The PPE against falls from a height must not obstruct the automatic inflation of the lifejacket (DGUV Regel 112-201 (to date: BGR 201) governing the use of personal protective equipment against drowning, October 2015, Sections 3.4 and Annex 2 at www.dguv.de/fb-psa, in German).
