Comments on the combination of equipment for head protection with hearing protection

When equipment for head protection is combined with that for hearing protection, the head band of ear muffs may prove incompatible. For a combination of equipment for head protection and hearing protection, ear muffs attached to the industrial helmet can be used (DGUV Regel 112-194 (to date: BGR/GUV-R 194), governing the use of hearing protection, January 2015, Sections 3.1.3.1.3, 3.2.1.2.2, 3.2.1.6 and 3.3.12 at www.dguv.de/fb-psa, in German). Helmet straps might break the seal of the attached earmuffs if they were not designed to be compatible.
