In Project 4099, "Study of the loading upon cabin attendants induced by the pushing and pulling of trolleys", conducted by the BG Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BIA), large volumes of process data were recorded. A range of programs were available for recording, processing and analyzing the data, and a need existed for special processing routines to be developed. The individual modules had to be linked by script files in order to create automatic procedures. The analyses generated tables and diagrams which describe the loading upon the cabin attendants in a manner which is both assessable and practical.
A number of programs needed to be developed with the aid of the Visual Basic 4.0 development environment. The programs contain algorithms for the processing and computation of specific evaluation parameters. The DIADEM 8. 0 software application was employed for filtering signals and generating a large number of diagrams. Script files were developed in DIADEM for automated processing. SPSS 11.0 was employed for statistical analysis, and also for the development of specific analysis scripts. Special forms of presentation and analysis were performed with SigmaPlot 8.0. All program developments were automated and controlled from Visual Basic, which permitted analysis on the scale required for the large volumes of data concerned.
Program code was developed in VB4.0, and VBS and SPSS 11.0 scripts written.
