International Cooperation
This section promotes networking on international and intercultural topics, within and outside the Institute for Work and Health.
Foci of Work
- Co-ordination of the European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH)
- Investigation of funding programmes and call for tenders at EU-level
- Consultancy on international projects (planning, submission of applications, implementation)
- Co-operation with international institutions (EU-OSHA, ILO, ISSA, WHO)
- Management of the product group “International seminars in OSH”
- International personnel development (training/coaching)
- International events (content, design, execution, facilitation)

Projects currently in progress within this division (selection)
- Strategy conference: Building the bridge between international and national strategies in health and safety atwork; Follow up conference in 2011
- Second EU information day in co-operation with the GVG (Gesellschaft für Versicherungswissenschaft und –gestaltung e.V.) and the SMS (Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Soziales)
- Preparation and holding of the 10th Training & Innovation event, on the topic of transfer of education and training to the workplace
- Further development of the ENETOSH standard of competence for instructors and trainers in occupational safety and health
- Research project regarding the impact of migration on the prevention activities of the accident insurance institutions in Germany
- Development of practical guidelines for the consultancy of enterprises led by foreigners
- Preparation and holding of the conference: “International Assignments of Employees” in co-operation with DGPF (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Personalführung)
