1. Let´s talk about BEM!

Only 40% of workers who are eligible receive a BEM offer from their company. The BEM however facilitates the return to work following an illness or accident, strengthens corporate culture and helps to retain skilled workers.

2. “Violence in hospital should be an absolute taboo”

Many workers in the healthcare sector are victims of violence. Professor Thomas Gösling from the hospital in Braunschweig was also attacked. In the interview, he talks about the incident, preventive measures and what he is demanding of policy-makers.

3. “Occupational health and safety and standardisation” symposium

In November, to mark its 30th anniversary, KAN is inviting interested parties in occupational health and safety to discuss current developments relating to standardisation policy and to examine the impacts of these on occupational health and safety and on the work of KAN.

4. The fight against work-related cancer goes on

The European “Roadmap on Carcinogens” is setting new standards in the fight against carcinogens in the workplace. Information and innovation strategies are the focus of the new Roadmap 3.0.

5. Companies are preparing for climate change

The Institute for Work and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IAG) has surveyed company doctors and occupational health and safety specialists on how German companies are responding to climate change. Our graphics show the key findings.
