1. European elections: every vote counts

The European elections in June are an important event because the results will have a say in determining future European legislation. Every vote for a social Europe counts. The European Representation of German Social Insurance is therefore launching a social media campaign.

In 2023, the number of fatal accidents at work and commuting accidents fell to its lowest level ever in the history of social accident insurance. These are the provisional annual figures from the German social accident insurance institutions.

4. Working together to combat heat: nationwide action day in June

Heat is a hazard for many employees. You can't press a button to switch it off, but you can raise awareness of the risks of heat and provide information on how to behave correctly. This is precisely the aim of the heat action day on 5 June 2024, in which the DGUV is also participating.

Invisible, irreversible, unhealthy: noise. Noise-induced hearing loss is the second most frequently officially diagnosed occupational disease. But when does noise start making you ill? Our graphic illustrates this.

6. Disability sport – DGUV recognises reporting

The German Paralympic Media Award recognises outstanding reporting on sport for people with disabilities. The prize was awarded on 24 April by German Social Accident Insurance.
