Developing specific sets of screening-indicators and outcome measures for insurants of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) in neurotraumatological rehabilitation

Aims:

Extracting valid and reliable predictors of rehabilitation processes and return-to-work success in patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with regards to the rehabilitation stages defined by the DGUV. Combining clinical, psychological and sociodemographic data. Assessing rehabilitation trajectories of patients after 6, 12 and 18 month.

Activities/Methods:

Acquisition of select clinical, psychological and sociodemographic data of three cohorts corresponding to the transitions between rehabilitation stages of patients with moderate or severe TBI over the course of 24 months. Follow-up data will be gathered at three measurement points over the course of 12 additional months. Patients are recruited from the BG (German Statutory Accident Insurance)-Clinics in Berlin, Bochum, Halle, Hamburg and Murnau.
