11th International Conference Hand-Arm Vibration

The 11th International Conference on Hand-Arm Vibration took place on June 3 to 7, 2007 at Bologna/Italy. The conference was organized by the Acoustical Society of Italy (AIA) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Prevention (ISPESL) and the International Advisory Committee of International Conference on Hand-Arm Vibration.

The conference program included technical and poster sessions on:

  • medical and epidemiological aspects of hand-arm vibration (HAV) exposure
  • how to treat a patient with HAVS
  • medical and ergonomic intervention strategies to prevent HAVS
  • diagnostics and quantitative relationships to HAV exposure
  • techniques for measuring HAV exposure
  • engineering intervention strategies to prevent HAVS
  • regulatory and legal aspects associated with HAVS
  • other aspects associated with HAV and HAVS
  • Workshop "Application of 2002/44/EC Directive in Europe".
