Developmend and validation of an Enzyme-Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay (ELISA) for rapid and lowcost determination of polychlorinated Dibenzofuranes and Dibenzo-p-dioxines in air

Project No. FFFF 0192

Status:

completed 04/2001

Aims:

Analytical determination of dioxine-concentrations in air needs expensive procedure with GC/MS. Prevention needs a quick unexpensive procedure. ELISA might be a solution that has to be improved.

Activities/Methods:

Determination of reliability of ELISA by comparison with GC/MS-results; finding out of limitation/disturbance factors.

Results:

ELISA is not valid in combination with the usual method of sampling air/dust at workplaces.
