Aims:

Within lacquer dryers may occur ignitable concentrations of solvent vapours. Constructive explosion prevention.

Activities/Methods:

Literature analysis, experiments, model calculations.

Results:

EN 1539 offers sufficient safety; mathematical-physical description of the drying process; safety measures for irregular function and handling mistakes.
