Prevention activities

The tasks of the accident insurance institutions within the industrial and public sectors include consultation and inspection, initial and further training, and public information.

In 2022, the prevention services of the accident insurance institutions carried out approx. 420,000 inspections in companies; in nearly 1,000,000 cases, cause was found for complaint. More than 2.5 million persons (excluding the pupil accident insurance) attended initial and further training relating to safety and health at work. About 715,000 safety officers can be found in companies and institutions.
