The outer surface of the glove must be prevented from coming into contact with the bare hand during the removal of contaminated protective gloves. To prevent this, the fingers of one hand are first withdrawn as far as the palm of the glove (Fig. 1). This hand can then be used to assist in removing the other glove (Fig. 2).
