Immunhistochemical analysis of sensory nerve endings in ligaments of the wrist, distal radioulnar joint, interosseous membrane of the forearm and elbow joint: a cadaver study

Project No. FF-FR 0272

Status:

ongoing

Aims:

  • Localisation, density, distribution and analysis of receptor types of sensory nerve endings
  • Comparative analysis of sensory nerve endings between the anatomical structures
  • Establishment of immunofluorescent staining as triple staining
  • Determination of tissue morphology using HE + EvG staining

Activities/Methods:

  • Immunohistochemistry with different antibodies (S100, p75, PGP 9.5)
  • Conventional staining HE + EvG
  • Immunofluorescence with DAPI, S100, PGP9.5, p75
  • Establishment of immunofluorescent staining as triple staining
  • Confocal laser microscopy
