The 10th International Conference on Hand-Arm Vibration took place on June 7 to 11, 2004 at Las
Vegas/Nevada, USA. The conference was organized by the Center for Mechanical&Environmental Systems Technology
(University of Nevada, Las Vegas), the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the International
Advisory Committee of International Conference on Hand-Arm Vibration.
The conference program included technical and poster sessions on:
- medical and epidemiological aspects of hand-arm vibration (HAV) exposure
- how to treat a patient with HAVS
- medical and ergonomic intervention strategies to prevent HAVS
- diagnostics and quantitative relationships to HAV exposure
- biomechanical models of the hand-arm system
- techniques for measuring HAV exposure
- engineering intervention strategies to prevent HAVS
- regulatory and legal aspects associated with HAVS
- other aspects associated with HAV and HAVS.
