Help for the employers of small businesses in order to encourage awareness of occupational health and safety and health promotion
Aims:
Small companies require particular support and assistance with the risk assessment required by the EU-legislature. Goal: drawing up practice-orientated working aids for introduction in risk assessment specific to occupational groups and preparing a health report.
Activities/methods:
Joint evaluation of the findings and data obtained by the German Berufsgenossenschaft (institution for statutory accident insurance and prevention) concerning risks or accidents and the incapacity for work data belonging to statutory health insurance funds companies, supplemented by data obtained empirically concerning the nature and extent of accidents and illnesses; illustration of the results in terms of risk potential.
Results:
Detailed illustration of the risks present in small companies in the metalworking industry, including advice for employers on assessment of risks in their own company using the occupational group machining mechanics as an example.
