Prevention of work-related complaints and diseases of the hand-arm system

In a project led by several social accident insurance institutions and the IFA, information was drawn up on the avoidance of work-related complaints and diseases of the hands, arms, elbows and shoulders (in short, the hand-arm system). The information is available for download (in German).

The information is aimed at production and construction companies who use work equipment (products) which causes vibration and/or physical stress upon the hand-arm system. The information is also available to companies in other sectors and is to enable them to identify and evaluate tasks which particularly impose stress upon the hand-arm system. In addition, model solutions for the planning of design measures are presented.
