Round-robin tests of the IFA

Since 1989, the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA, formerly BGIA) has been providing round-robin tests for all dangerous substance laboratories and measuring stations for the purpose of self-examination and for the external presentation of quality standards within these laboratories. The round-robin tests are conducted to conform to the requirements of ISO Guide 43. Any interested laboratories anywhere in the world may participate.

The IFA is a member of the Euro-Proficiency Testing Steering Committee (EPTS), and successful participation in the round-robin tests is recognised throughout Europe. We also co-operate with the PAT (Proficiency Analytical Testing Programme) in the USA.
