Architecture

Form meets function

DGUV Congress is located in the former “Landesschule Sachsen”, a school designed and built by Heinrich Tessenow and Oskar Kramer in north Dresden between 1925 and 1927. The style of the two architects is evident in clear lines, well-lit rooms and extensive green spaces. We made the retention of this timeless architecture a high priority when renovating the complex between 1998 and 2000.

February 2012 saw us add another building to our congress centre. Completely refurbished and redesigned, the former administrative building now boasts a generously proportioned hall with a capacity of up to 500 people. The building is made particularly charming by its open architecture and expansive glazing, which allows light to flood in and offers guests a wonderful view of Dresden’s Baroque silhouette. The large terrace area is ideal for a breath of fresh air during breaks - weather permitting!
