BG-PRÜFZERT becomes DGUV Test
Starting 1 July, BG-PRÜFZERT will take on a new corporate identity that makes its membership in the employers statutory insurance and accident prevention funds, and German social accident insurance funds more apparent. Its certificates and publications will be given a new, more modern look.

Dust emissions by woodworking machinery
When using woodworking machinery that has passed dust emissions testing, the operator no longer needs to regularly measure emis-sions. The Expert Committee for the Woodworking Industry has updated the principles for testing and certification of such machinery.
Purchasing aid: Tested products for meat and sausage processing
As a new service, DGUV Test now offers a useful tool to help purchasers in the meat industry make their selections: it lists all products that have received a certificate from the Expert Committee for the Meat-Processing Industry. From appliances used in butchers shops to slaughterhouse equipment, its now much easier to select the right products for meat and sausage processing.
First certificates issued for full quality assurance systems pursuant to the EC Machinery Directive
A manufacturer of vehicle servicing lifts and a manufacturer of earth-moving equipment have received the first certificates from BG-PRÜFZERT for full quality assurance systems pursuant to the new Machinery Directive.
GS-certified cargo nets
Lashing nets are a quick solution for load restraint. Now for the first time, such nets have passed GS testing and can be labelled with the GS mark ("Geprüfte Sicherheit" = "Tested Safety") from BG-PRÜFZERT. The GS mark gives purchasers a direct indication that the nets meet demanding safety requirements.
Declaration of Conformity and Declaration of Incorporation as specified in EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
Manufacturers have to issue an EC Declaration of Conformity for each machine. In a new information sheet, BG-PRÜFZERT informs manufacturers and buyers of machinery what content the declarations are required to have.

Harmonised standards relating to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
On 29 December 2009, when application of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC became compulsory, an updated list of the harmonised standards relating to the Directive was published in EU Official Journal C 321.
Guide to application of the new Machinery Directive
On 29 December 2009, the new EC Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC, came into effect as the legal basis for placing machinery on the EEA market for the first time.
