BG-PRÜFZERT becomes DGUV Test

In 2010 the employers’ statutory insurance and accident prevention funds in Germany and the umbrella association for German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) adopted a new, joint corporate image.

The central element is the blue logo. Starting 1 July 2010, BG-PRÜFZERT will also assume a new corporate identity that makes its membership in the statutory insurance and accident prevention funds and social accident insurance more apparent. As a result, the certificates it issues and its publications will also be given a new, modern look.

DGUV Test – testing and certification system of the German Social Accident Insurance

Ever since the merging of the umbrella association for German Social Accident Insurance and the Central Federation of Company Accident Insurance Funds, DGUV Test has no longer been affiliated only with statutory company accident insurance. This change is reflected in our new name.

BG-PRÜFZERT has therefore become DGUV Test This new name emphasises our core competence: thorough testing of products used in the workplace for occupational health and safety. If a product has any defects that detract from its safety, we will discover them. For manufacturers, this is an excellent way to improve their products. The certification and test marks we issue are a proven marketing tool, aiding consumers in making purchasing decisions. 

No changes for our customers

All prior certificates and contracts retain their validity. Starting 1 September 2010, you will receive our test marks with our new name and logo. If you have any questions, please feel free to address them to your usual contact person at our certification and testing offices.
