Ventilation and air-conditioning poster wins award
A presentation of the findings of research that compared rapid tests used to determine the bacteria level in ventilation and air-conditioning units has been awarded a prize by the Society of Hygiene, Environmental and Public Health Sciences.

The 2006 paper on assembly of machinery has been revised by a team controlled by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales: BMAS) and has been updated with regard to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

Institutes: New names as of 1 January 2010
As of 1 January 2010, the former BGIA in Sankt Augustin will be named the "Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance" and will have the abbreviation "IFA".
