Updated codes of rules for testing published

In October, the testing and certification body of the Expert Committee on Electrical Engineering published four revised codes of rules for testing.

The revisions were necessary in order to bring the machinery-safety requirements contained in the codes into line with those in the new Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC.

By updating the codes, the testing and certification body of the Expert Committee on Electrical Engineering has created an additional pillar to enable it to offer customer testing and certification based on the new Machinery Directive with immediate effect.
